Thirty years of international experience managing client relationships and supply chains within complex technology commercialization projects.
Karl’s history includes state-of-the-art biocontainment solutions and medical/military training and assessment tools for government, academic and private research organizations in the United States and Taiwan. He remains dedicated to the deployment of advanced dual-use and data technologies for national security.
December 2025 co-founded Patriot Circuits, Inc., a Florida based electronics company focused on secure compute and storage software & hardware capabilities which ensure mission-critical devices operate free from foreign threats, hardware vulnerabilities and supply chain risks.
Also active within the Tampa Bay community consulting companies to drive innovative product design, establishment of quality supply chains and strategies for profitable market channel development.
Honored to previously sit on the Advisory Board at the University of South Florida Monica Wooden Center for Supply Chain Management & Sustainability. Currently Karl maintains an active role with USF World Advisory Council. In 2024 he was nominated and confirmed by the US Commerce Department to join the Greater Florida District Export Council (DEC). As an avid student of international relations and global security policy, he is a member of The Tampa Bay Area Committee on Foreign Relations, and a Florida delegate for US Global Leadership Coalition in Washington DC.
Since returning to Tampa in 2010, Karl has consulted and provided services for a variety of technology corporations contributing to product research R&D, material sourcing, quality control, manufacturing solutions as well as product channel development.
2016 to 2025, Karl was Executive Director of the World Trade Center Tampa Bay with leadership and operation responsibility to develop collaboration with business experts and government agencies involved with international trade. WTC Tampa Bay emphasizes education, consultation, and network connections for regional small businesses to expand both international sales and supply chains.
Karl grew up in Tampa and attended Berkeley Preparatory School. Was awarded a B.A. in Economics from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin – played DIII football and served as president of the Wisconsin Beta chapter of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.
